LG Debuts Air Purifier Mask

We are all living in a new reality with Covid-19 and most of us are wearing either a cloth mask or a surgical mask when going into stores or "crowds" indoors. LG has created a product with todays technology incorporated directly into a mask.

8/29/2020- LG Electronics has developed a mask equipped with miniature fans that draw in fresh air, helping reduce stuffiness, the South Korean company said Monday.


The mask incorporates a H13 HEPA filters that has multiple speed fans that are triggered upon the wearers inhale of air. Equipped with a battery that can last 8 hours on its lowest setting and up to 2 on its highest setting. According to LG the mask was designed to be very comfortable for wearing for hours on end.


"The PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier is an exciting addition to our growing lineup of products designed to deliver meaningful health and hygiene benefits," said Dan Song, president of LG Electronics Home Appliance & Air Solution Company. "At a time when consumers are seeking ways to make life safer and more convenient, it's important that we're able to offer solutions that add measurable value."

The mask will come with a case that uses UV light to disinfect the mask while also charging the integrated battery within the mask. No information has been provided as to when they will be available.
